Ah iconic jacket from the late 1980s/early 1990s by Mondi. If it looks familiar, it's because it's pretty much the same as one worn by Katy Sagal as Peg Bundy in the hit cult tv comedy show of that time "Married with Children".
It is marked a German size 40 which is a UK 12, though more like a modern size 10 would also be fine for a 12, but  if you want the fuller loose swingy back would be fine for a UK size 6 or 8. One frog fastening at bust level as it is meant to flare a little that way.
 
Mondi was huge at the time and the West German label enjoyed considerable success globally especially in the UK and USA as well as Europe. But as they added archaic military jackets. leather pencil skirts and leopard faux fur trims to their collections they were inundated by a new customer: the rockabilly girl & the rock chick, who jostled with their usual middle class customers for that edgy item.
 
While at the time of the tv show Married with Children , Peg Bundy was meant to look a bit kitsch in her capri pants, heels & shoulderless 50s tops and leopard print, now almost everything she and her aspiring mode rock chick bimbo daughter Kelly wore is soooo cool! And this jacket perhaps the most iconic look. 
 
And if that wasn't cool enough how about what Katy Sagal is doing now? Singing with the Forest Rangers for the 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'The Mayans' tv shows! Including a fabulous rendition of the 1967 Los Lobos hit 'Black is Black' !

Sadly by the late 1990s Mondi designs had become much less glamorous and more 'corporate' looking or understated, and so we miss their heyday glamorous & edgy items like this! And so yeah we want our baby back!
