Vintage green velvet bustle & drape boned fitted Sarah Whitworth Deadlier Than the Male gothic dress 1980s Victorian Edwardian gown designer
Another fabulous elegant & exquisite Sarah Whitworth gown from the 1980s, with an Edwardian/Victorian gothic femme fatale vibe.
Sarah's seminal label Deadlier Than the Male operated from Kensington High St's Hyper Hyper designer fashion complex original home to the likes of Ghost & Pam Hogg. Sarah's store was a mecca forelegant goths and party society girls from the world over. Her work is now recognised by the addition of pieces in to the London's V&A Fashion & Culture Museum Collection .While most of her pieces were corseted, this has a zip. This mean ideally you will be a size UK 6 or a small 8 to be able to get in it. But if that fits you, and you love it don't hesitate. These dresses were not mass produced and each one was made with loving attention to detail.
Boned breast.
There are few if any like this ne around. I have a few atm and they are the property of a collector and most were unworn, including this one. At the time the very elegant velvet or complex silk gowns retailed from c £500. The train and bustle are satin and in black.
Absolutely stunning gown that will mesmerize a room. Simply for a romantic dinner or perhaps a Murder Mystery weekend at a Manor House hotel, the annual Ball, Glyndebourne, a Goth club, Steampunk event, Whitby weekend, Torture Garden, a smart Burlesque, or throw yourself a Sherlock Holmes themed party! Or perhaps you are a classical musician or nightclub singer who needs the right gown....
Romantic, sexy, vampy & unforgettable....
