Fabulous coat dating from c 1968.
Immediately reminded me of Tara King (Linda Thorson) in The Avengers of the same year.
The series was now in colour and they made the most of it with Tara sporting a bright red coat
like this in episode 'Fog' and this would be a treat to wear on a cold foggy day, with snuggly sheepskin
fur around the neck and at the hem.It is a fit and flare style suitable for a size 8 to small 10.
It has an asymmetric side fastening with orb buttons and loops, but there is a front centre kick split;
and a bib bust panel. Such fabulous cut!
It is an emerald green but not really vivid though strong and no fading. The sheepskin is real, and the garment is made of a quality wool twill.
Made to last and has!
It is by Mark Stevens; the label responsible for some very high quality but very stylish & edgy garments of the time, and associated with the way the more sophisticated Mods & psychedelia fashion customers had moved to whom Tara King was a style icon. So looks fab with long boots, or with a mini dress for eg.
